I think I am finally getting the hang of it. Although, I still don't have any paracord the ribbon works well and is thin enough to not make a huge bulky lanyard. I actually re-did this 3 times in order to get the knots tighter and more uniform. Its harder to do with flat ribbon than round cord but I am happy with the finished product.
